How it all started...
I was overwhelmed.
I'd always dreamed of homeschooling with joy and confidence, but I was too focused on curriculum, grade levels, and leanring benchmarks set by people I never met.
I spent years hustling to make my dream homeschool life a reality- working around the clock and on weekends and holidays looking for better curriculum, more effective plans, and struggling to make it all magical too.
I'll never forget the day that everything changed.
My oldest son was angry.
We were so busy doing school and chasing his younger brothers that he wasn't enjoying learning at all.
I sat him at the kitchen table and sent the little boys out to play.
I can still see him glaring at me across the table.
"Buddy, I owe you an apology."
I asked him for all of his history and language arts curriculum which he was glad to shove across the table.
"I've had you so busy with school you haven't been to learn the things that are interesting to you. Let's change that."
He wanted to be an author and a high school history teacher at the time, so I told him we would create a system for him to put together activities, crafts, and fun facts for him to share with his future class...
...and from that day on I would make sure he had 1-2 hours a day to write his novel."
He burst into tears. "Really?"

My husband and I got our master homeschool goals in place and began wrapping academics around what our kids loved. And the joy rushed in.
My mind was blown and the boys began to thrive in ways I never imagined, and people started noticing.
So we began sharing what was working with other homeschooling parents.
